Help required with warning lights

I get 0.2 ohms when I connect the leads together and then the reading immediately goes to zero.
I have tested another resistor of 1 KOhms and it works perfectly with that one measuring 1.001 kohms.
On a couple of resistors I have even tried to sand a bit both ends of each resistor thinking that they might be covered in a thin coat/film and then measured, but even that didn't work.

That is quite bizarre. Have you tried a resistor both ways ie swap the leads?
Are you using the 200 ohm scale or the 2k one?
Can you post a pic of the resistor?

Looks like all the belt pretensions have fired, they will need repairing / resetting.

Morning All,
I'm a bit embarassed to admit that upon checking the resistors I bought, I realized that they were 2.2 M ohms and not 2.2 ohms.
That's why the multimeter didn't read anything.
I now bought another set of resistors of 2.2 ohms

No need to be embarassed, it's easily done and is why I had asked you to post a pic of them so we could check the values by the colour code. Let's hope the new ones will solve your issue!!

The 2.2 ohm resistors arrived and the airbag is not faulty!!
The problem was that the electrical connectors to the seat belts pretensioner weren't properly connected. I had to push them all way the in and that solved the issue.
The airbag warning light has now disappeared!!

I'm still working on the following warning lights:

- tyre under inflation detection system fault,
- Collision detection risk system fault,
- Automatic breaking system fault.

What faults have you got left? Earlier pic showed an external temp sensor fault - this would upset the tyre pressure monitor.
