C4 automatic gearbox doesn't change but manual works fine

Hello, my car is Citroen C4 II Hatchback 1.6 E-HDi Exclusive J17 2012, automatic gearbox.

Two days ago a service warning started to display in the panel saying "Motor problem, go to the service repair", the automatic gearbox doesn't change gears, however if I put to manual mode the gears works just fine (manual change of course).

I can't hear any different noise coming from the motor, also there are no leaks on the floor. I went to my repair shop but they can't have my car today, only in 4 days.

So, just wondering if someone has experienced something similar. Also I'm a bit afraid to drive and cause damage, although manually changing gears works just fine.

That sounds like you have lost auto operation in the clutch solenoid circuit or similar stopping the car from actuating gear changes. If it sounds OK you need to have a diagnosis and go from there. Driving it manually shouldn't do any harm I don't think, but if I'm wrong someone will soon tell me!!
