Can the cooling fan switch on temperature be changed from 90 to 84 with the computer?
The reason I'm asking is that it would solve my 508 automatic sticking problem on higher temperature. It only does it in town in the summer time, when it gets to 90.

This is just a thought, the temperature sensor is designed to change resistance when it reaches the designated temperature and the ECU responds accordingly. Thus to change the 'switching' temperature you would need to fit a sensor calibrated for 84 rather than the standard 90. The ECU would not know the difference and so programming is not an option as far as I am aware.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

What have you done to address the "sticking" problem? Anything? Changed the oil? Looked at the heat exchanger? Flushed the coolant?Akos wrote: 22 Aug 2025, 23:08 it would solve my 508 automatic sticking problem on higher temperature. It only does it in town in the summer time, when it gets to 90.

Nothing. Just having the AC on all the time when the weather is hot, and that keeps it from happening. Will try an oil change....
