Oil change eatn8 gearbox

Unread post by trollkarlen »

I have a Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 2019 with the eatn8 gearbox and I will do an oil change but could see in the documentation that the filling procedure is different on the HT12 and HT13 version compared to the HT8, HT9, HT11 and HT12 where you are supposed to add 0,263 liter after the drip.
How can I see and/or know the difference between this versions ?

My VIN is if that's needed:
VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Thanks 🙏

Found it!

It's written on a sticker on the plastic pan on the front of the gearbox and also on a blue serie number plate on the left side of the gearbox.

Sample pictures below for 20HT11, mine was also a HT11!

I flushes 3 times, emptied and filled it and went through the gears in Sports mode with the save electricity set to full to force it to start the engine and use the gearbox.
Took all in all around 4 hours including the test-drive afterwards.

Here is a sample from allt the changes(first to the left) not really totally clear in the end but much better then before.

It shifts better but I could be biased after working for 4 hours 😃

Hello sir, did you add 0.263 after the change?
How is the gearbox performing now? Any issues?

Yes, warm it to 63°C ± 3 then wait until it starts to drip from the measuring hole. Then tighten it to 7 nm and add 0.263 liters of oil.

It's running good after the change, better then before anyway.

Tyvm for the information.
I was having some hard shifting issues changed the oil on my 2021 508 diesel eat8. It shifts way better now but sometimes it jerks a little when i put the gear into R.
I'll do one more oil change and adjust the level as you say.

Which version of the gearbox do you have ?

It's just för the listed HT8, 9 and 11 and 14 versions you should add the oil after the drip.

There is a typo here.

The
"compared to the HT8, HT9, HT11 and HT12 where you are supposed to add 0,263 liter after the drip."

Should be
"compared to the HT8, HT9, HT11 and HT14 where you are supposed to add 0,263 liter after the drip."

The first image is on the front of the gearbox on the plastic cover. That you can see from the hood. Maybe need a mirror or your phone.

Just had the chance to look it up and it says 20GTBC on my gearbox. What should i do? Add 263 or just level the oil and leave it like that?

My car is a 3008 hybrid4 and in that manual it does not mention this gearbox so I'm afraid I don't know in this case 😔 Maybe someone with diagbox access can check for you.
