Hi All
Have been battling my Expert for quite a while now. It feels like I dont have enough turbo.
Have changed a lot of parts. EGR, throttlebody, the 3 vacuum solonoids on the back of engine, map sensor, the airtemp sensor. Vaccum lines have been tested but will order a new set just to be sure. I can hear my wastegate opens around 2.000 rpm.
Have measured tps values and I do have 5 volts, ground and signal that varies when I move the valve. Have Diagbox software. I have no errorcodes and when running the complet test for air inlet group, turbo etc, I get no faults.
I have no kind of smoke and when applying vacuum to wastegate it holds it. Vaccum pump is working fine, lots of vacuum.
When I look at live data on Diagbox my TPS data are very intermittent, is that normal? I have another throttlebody so have tried to change between them but nothing changes.
Hope someone can point me in the right direction, going nuts here
Regards
Kenneth

Re: Peugeot Expert 2.0hdi 2012 lacking power
Have you checked its 0-100km/h time against the official value ? It might be the van does not have enough power for your needs so no matter what you do it will not improve if there is nothing wrong.
A search comes up with the 90hp being about 20 seconds, the highest power one being about 12 seconds so none of them are going to accelerate quickly and if the van is loaded up it will be even slower.

Re: Peugeot Expert 2.0hdi 2012 lacking power
When I bought it, it went like a rocket so its not that. If I was in second gear going up a hill, it would pull like a bull. Its when I am on the the highway going 90-100km/h there is no power to overtake and going uphill is not fun at all.
The power did not gradually go away. It was like the flick of a switch.

Going on my limited knowledge of your vehicle and the info you have given us I would be looking at your throttle position sensor as a possible cause of apparent lack of power. If something has gone awry there it would give false signals of your demands to the ECU resulting in the wrong instructions being sent to the injectors etc and hence low power.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: Peugeot Expert 2.0hdi 2012 lacking power
I bought a C5 2.0 Hdi that was similarly hopeless. Took it to a garage near where I worked and they took all the inlet tubing, intercooler etc out and cleaned it.
I picked it up that evening, drove back down the steepish hill to work then when I left work later it absolutely flew up the hill and home, like a completely different car.

What will happen if I disconnect the wastegate vaccum hose from the vacuum solonoid? Will the ecm freak out? Trying to see what happens with wastegate closed since atm it opens around 2.000 rpm. Will I have to plug the niple on the vacuum solonoid also?
