Should be. Let us know what happens.

Hi so I've had the radio out of the car and I've noticed the radio is actually a RNEG2. Can this radio be fixed in a similar way?

I've tried updating it with the firmware you have sent me but nothing is happening. Still just a blank screen. Is there a different update for the rneg2

No, RNEG2 is just another name they use for RT6 along with WIPNAV+ and eMyWay.

I did think it was a bit of a longshot. If you're going to persevere changing the SD card is the next step. But no guarantees it'll work of course.

Oh I see. Ive changed the sd card now and tried it again unfortunately that didnt work either. I guess I'll just need a new or used radio. Do you know if there is any good aftermarket radios that will incorporate the original functions. Parking sensors, reverse camera ect?

I don't personally, sorry. One of our members fitted an aftermarket radio into his C5 X7 (I don't remember which model unit he was replacing) and he was pleased by the result. I do remember that not absolutely everything transferred over but the features that didn't work were unimportant to him.

You could try Magpie Autos - Normanton.
He has a web site you could send a message to. Since you are in Ireland you could discuss sending the radio to him.
Hope that helps.
