Engine fault

My citroen c5 aircross hybrid has started making a noise when going from electric to petrol does anyone know what this could be ive not had the car long but its high pitch sound and comes up with engine fault repair needed but then the sound stops after couple of minutes and the engine light goes off

As it is bringing up a repair light it should be recording the fault in the fault log. I'd suggest you have a diagnostic session to identify the cause of the light coming on, which will hopefully indicate what the noise is!

If bought from a dealer and you have not had it long so covered by a warranty, then hopefully the dealer will fix this.
