2008 M59 Berlingo AC torque specs

Unread post by Ian_99 »

Hi all!
Maybe someone over here knows the torque specs for the AC system on an M59 berlingo? I can only find the specs for the compressor mounting bolts but not for the AC lines to/from condenser, expasnion valve and the compressor.
I checked the backup service manual software but that doesn't give me any answers...

I cannot find specific figures for the Berlingo but I think this sight will be helpful in guiding you: https://www.2carpros.com/questions/on-a-c :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Thanks for the link! However 33NM seems really excessive for the compressor, even the much bigger mounting bolts are (only) 24NM.
Most general answer I found is "hand tight" or about 10NM. Would this be fine?

I have replaced the aircon on three different cars and never looked up a torque for the hose connections. (all working fine after at least 4years) Yes I would say tighten to three fingers on a 1ft bar!! :-D

Thanks!
Just used 10NM everywhere as that felt exactly as tight I wanted to go, more would probably feel like I'd break something
