Re: Classic for over £10K
Another nice example of my favourite colour for cars:
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

My paint man David had a customer bring him all the panels stripped off one of those for respray, damn near filled his workshop.

Ha ha, probably the lowest probability of gaining a LHM puddle in the spray booth but space consuming.Gibbo2286 wrote: 02 Aug 2025, 10:47 My paint man David had a customer bring him all the panels stripped off one of those for respray, damn near filled his workshop.![]()
I'm amazed how much space is consumed when you've a job needing to dig down into the engine bay and so remove lots of stuff. I've not removed bodywork in bulk (like you can with a DS) but suck bulky things that are at risk of scratching if badly stacked must fair take up room!

One of the modern SUV leviathans would just blow that into dust if it were to collide at speed.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Even lighter than my base-model AX!
I'd expect the front bumper from one of those probably weighs as much Paul!Paul-R wrote: 18 Aug 2025, 12:43 One of the modern SUV leviathans would just blow that into dust if it were to collide at speed.

Re: Classic for over £10K
This is an exact replica of the first one I ever rode in. My Scout leader owned it and he used to take me to various places for Scouting activities as we did not have a car at all. It then became my bedroom wall poster and has remained as my favourite car I've never owned ever since. I can't see me ever owning one now unless the lottery comes up, which is unlikely as I don't buy any tickets!
