Peugeot 3008 hybrid

Unread post by Pepe autotechnics »

Hi I have a Peugeot 3008 hybrid 2015 and on diagbox I have fault codes attached as pdf photo codes are P1AC2- reduction gear position fault and P1B70- electric drive machine position sensor fault and P1AC4- drive train fault could these faults be because of the sensor and where is the sensor is it the sensor mounted on the electric motor differential?? Fault appears in hybrid mode when decelerating on over run as electric motor changes hybrid battery jumps out of hybrid mode!!

Google search while on break The electric drive machine position sensor on a Peugeot 3008 Hybrid (2015) is located within the electric motor itself. It's not a separate, easily accessible component. This sensor is crucial for the engine control unit to precisely manage the electric motor's operation.
Here's why it's not easily located and what it does:
Integrated design: The sensor is built into the electric motor, not a separate external part.
Function: It provides the engine control unit with information about the rotor's position, which is essential for controlling the electric motor's speed and torque.
No user-serviceable parts: Due to its integration, it's not intended for individual replacement by owners or mechanics. If faulty, the entire electric motor assembly may need replacement, which is a more complex repair.

Looks like an expensive repair

Sorry I attached the wrong photo on original post I have now updated the photo in this reply, do you think the repair is still new motor or possibly something to do with reduction gear position sensor or is this sensor the same one that is integrated in the electric motor!!
Sorry to be a pain!!

That's looking like a sensor problem and as that google search suggested, looks expensive. Maybe you have just found a fault these are going to suffer with.

Hi I have resolved the problem with the 3008 hybrid, I replaced the electric motor and the reduction gear and preprogrammed the new motor and reduction gear with my diagbox and the problem is solved now car also goes in ZEV mode full electric which it didn’t before.
Thanks for your input and help.
