2015 c4 Picasso blower issues

Unread post by Parky2k2 »

Hi all, hope someone can point me in the direction of either an existing post (I have searched but cannot find my issue) or atleast could you point me in the direction of the correct fuse/relay for the blowers?

They are showing on the touch screen but are not coming on.
Many thanks

If the cabin blower is not working it could be the blower resistor pack that has failed. This controls the blower speed. When the blower on our Cactus stopped working a new one fixed it. Other things to check are the wiring and connections with the blower the last thing. It could also be something in the fan stopping it moving.

Found issue, the blower motor had expired. Checked resistor pack with multimeter

Hi I'm having similar issues on my 2014 c4 II grand picasso. nothing from the motor, nada. How did you test the resistor? did you tets the output voltage (i'm only getting 1.8v) or did you measure the actual resistance across the +in +out?

Mines been a pain in the rear for months. I've had a new blower motor fitted & I swapped out a second hand resistor i bought off ebay but nothing :(

The weird thing is it comes on for a few weeks & works fine & then suddenly stopps again.

does anyone know what the voltage range should be going into the motor?
I've just been testing the voltages this evening after attempting to fit a second hand ebay resistor with no joy.

feed in to the resistor is 12v
feed out is 1.8v & doesn't change if I adjust the controls.
if i dissconect the plug for what i assume is the control board the output voltage jumps to 8v

the control pin varies from 0 -0.9 mV depending on the setting

Thanks

On our Cactus when the resistor failed I measured the resistances across the pins and noted in this topic viewtopic.php?t=72595

I had the blower motor out, and put 12v direct to it, got nothing out at all. Can’t remember the readings from resistor pack but did get 3 different readings from different pins, this to me anyway showed that the resistors had something passing through them that would have provided power to the motor. I’d they were expired I would have expected a zero return.
