Hello all, 2013 Berlingo with electrical gremlins and need some help!
I bought the car with a stripped Cambelt have replaced the engine , so not sure on previous history.
Horn was found to be unplugged, plugged it back in and get intermittent horn sounding but no horn when pressing steering wheel button.
Remote central locking works, but only until car goes to sleep, have to then wake it up using manual key, remote central locking then starts working again.
Ambient air temperature not displayed, have tried a new sensor but still no luck.
Central display shows eco mode , but battery reading 12.76v. Eco mode does go away once car stated and driven.
Fault codes in BSI: fault in outside temperature sensor circuit. Doors and trunk lid locking fault - short circuit to positive. Unexpected re-initialisation fault coming from the bsi. Engine fuse box fault in horn circuit.
BSM: Horns control fault , short circuit to ground.
Multi function screen: remote control information fault of the multi function screen ecu.
Assume BSI is the culprit?
Any ideas welcome.
Probably going to wire in a separate horn button to get it through their MOT.

Re: Berlingo electrics
Does it have an aftermarket radio fitted?
Check that the Shunt in the BSI is in the CLIENT position.
Check ALL the fuses

Re: Berlingo electrics
It has the standard radio fitted which works fine and the Shunt is in Client position - have also tried resetting the BSI by removing it.
I have belled out all the fuses in engine bay and the dash BSI fusebox, all ok.

Re: Berlingo electrics
Ambient air sensor fault turned out to be door harness purple wire snapped in door shut area. Other wires appeared ok.
