Hi I have a Peugeot 307 14HDI, and for the past months the power steering randomly cuts out. The problem seems to mainly persist when I turn on the AC, in which case after some minutes the power steering stops.
When the problem arises I would need to switch off the car, let it rest and then after some minutes I turn it on again as if nothing happened.
Fuse is ok and even power steeribg fluid.
Would appreciate feedback

If the car has electric power steering and cuts out when you increase the electrical load by turning on the A/C my first thought would be a failing battery. Check the battery voltage while all off, then ignition on, then engine running, then while turning steering, then with A/C turned on and finally with a/c on and turning steering. I would hope to see a consistent reading across all the ones with alternator running, by consistent I mean within a couple of tenths of a volt. If you find them inconsistent post them up and hopefully we can suggest some possible problems.
