207 HDi pressure regulator

Unread post by freddyokel »

Ok, I give up.
After attempt number three, there must be a secret easy way of changing the fuel pressure regulator on a 1.6HDi 207cc (207/sw/etc)
Latest attempt involved removal of the unpressurised side of the induction system to allow the airbox to be moved sideways to potentially gain access.
Working by feel I removed 3 hex bolts which both felt and looked like they held the regulator in place. They didn't, they were part of some bracket. They were a pig to put back.
Any tips greatly received.
Hell, I'll even swap information for my 'how to replace the fuel rail pressure sensor in 30 minutes' guide... (This is not such a pig as people think it is...)

Post up a couple of pictures and you may get some suggestions :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Luckily I've now fixed the problem that I thought was the regulator.
Pictures would have been impossible. Again, like the fuel rail sensor I removed those bolts by feel alone. There's no way to even see the regulator, let alone get photos of it.
