Motorized Trunk Closing Issue on Citroen C5X

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the motorized trunk on my Citroen C5X, and I'm hoping someone can help.

The issue is quite strange. Sometimes the trunk works perfectly, but very often it won’t close.

Here’s what happens:

- The trunk always opens smoothly.
- When I try to close it—whether using the button in the cabin, the button on the trunk itself, or the foot/kick sensor—it only beeps once and then does nothing. I have to close the trunk manually.
- Sometimes the trunk starts to close normally, but then stops partway, beeps once, and the problem happens again.
- After some time (or maybe after doing something?), the trunk works normally again, but only for a couple of open/close cycles. Then the same problem starts again.

I haven’t been able to find any pattern or connection between my actions and whether the trunk works or not.

Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas on what might be causing it?
