Xantia X1 X2 bodywork parts

Unread post by Mkalic »

Hey gus, I have a 1994 xantia and I'm looking for the front right fender and rear right door. I found a 2000 estate in the same color. Will the parts fit? Thanks!

They should do but you will need to change the locks/electrics in the rear door and that depends on the configuration of your car to the one from the 2000 model. I am unsure if the mounts etc for the locks/electric windows are different.

Note, there is an adhesive strip used on the vertical rear edges of the wing so take great care removing it or it can bend.

The front fender is different because the series 2 Xantia has wider wheel arches which were not available on 1994 cars. I am not sure if the front edge changed between S1 and S2.

I thought it was just "selected" low spec cars that had the narrow arches in the S1 range ?

The widened wings are only fitted (S1) to cars with ML5 or 4HP20 transmission, which were the 2.1, TCT and V6. They were fitted to all S2 cars.
They were not fitted at all before the Activa arrived in 1996.

Well I live and learn....and that opens up some chances of getting a new "narrow" wing for my sinker..

AUTODOC seems to have a number of choices.........
