Do you believe in ghosts ?

Unread post by Huskyxantia »

Stumbled across this video the other today.

Something was definitely walking past paul in the video.

I myself didn't belive in ghosts till i saw one when i was mid 20s it happened to be the ghost of the chap whom lived in the property before me , and was confirmed by a neighbor when i told her what i keep seeing then see presented an old photograph as her husband when alive used to be best friends with him, they were both in this photo and the old chap looked and wore the same as i described .

Me neither.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

I'll probably regret this post but my theory on the various reports of "I saw a ghost "etc.. is as follows.

Most if not all people have dreams at some point when asleep. In those dreams the brain creates some amazing things, events, characters etc, proving the imagination can be very realistic. I would suggest a small number of people have 'daydreams' and my belief is that the reported sitings are exactly that: daydreams!! :)

Nor I, but my cousin's husbands house, a very old cottage on the banks of the river Esk harbour had some strange happenings. They would be sat round the fire in the living room and hear someone walk down the stairs, along the passage and open and close the door. Except there was no-one else in the house.

A bloke I worked with and his partner (business partner) were employed to photograph and document the contents of Cragside Hall in Rothbury, it took a couple of months and they lived on site, no-one else there. During the night, usually around 3 a.m. the piano would be playing. No explanation for it but the place was alleged to be haunted.

Neil may have comments if he looks in and sees this.

My house has the ghost of the lady that used to live here over 40 yr ago , we've all seen her even when we had a kitchen refit 7 or 8 yr ago 3 workers thought we had an old grandma living with us they were seeing her on the lower stair case she even smiled at them . You can make people believe in them id never force things on anyone if you've seen stuff thats unexplainable then thats special in some respect, the lady in our home is nice you smell her sometimes like a flower smell. Me and my wife both say it's her home and we're the guests !

I believe Ghosts is/was a very good sitcom.

Taking into account the numbers of dead beings over the history of the earth....I do not think even Angela "Crayons" Rayner could build enough accommodation for all the dead soals even in old hotels now reclassified as private accommodation to make the stats a bit more believable.......no room for all the ghosts = no ghosts

Yes, and in addition, the brain has an infinite ability to hallucinate, particularly when in stressful and/or out of the ordinary situations. It also has an infinite ability to fill in for missing information and every now and again, it gets it all a bit muddled and invents totally fictional content to fill those gaps...

This is often manifested in witness statements after traumatic events.

I know this only too well... Especially currently.

Hope all is ok Jim.
Me and my boy (28) were talking a couple of days back about the time we were at an old cemetery we had found an old relatives grave from a few generations back so the lad said hey let's go lay some flowers , so we went we sat on a bench and while both talking about the ammount of times we have either walked, drove or biked past for yrs we didn't know some relative was layed to rest here, then all of a sudden three spiral things all spinning came out of the ground spinning the same speed we both looked at each other and said you seeing that ? They looked like rope ships rope there was three ropes each had three ropes on each rope so there was nine altogether rising out the ground spinning this lasted for about 6 or 7 seconds then dropped back down to the ground and they were gone. They looked like the steam , we both walked over to where this happend , 10 yards away, checked the ground , it was just grass ,there was no vents just grass . We were baffled. The weather was good it was late morning no wind clear sunlight too, we were the only 2 in the place too. Very odd it was. Buy the time my boy got his moblie out to get a photo the thing had gone, I can still recall my boy holding his phone out and pressing record and him saying oh...? Ckdmdj it's gone. The look on his face to pale and slightly shaken, very strange it was.

Which leads me on to being seen by more than one person at the same time I know the mind , brain is complex but if 10 people saw a full body apparition at the same time surely they can't all be day dreaming which then leads into the unexplainable

:-D In that situation I'd argue that it may be the case, but still not a ghost, just an image produced somehow!! :-D
