Citroen C6 - Headup Display

Unread post by Alexander Stern »

Hello,

I am a new owner of a Citroen C6 and my Head Up disply does not show anything. I pushed all the buttons but still nothing. Is it a common Problem? Does it need changing? If yes.. it is complicated?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have it set in the correct position ? eg. There should be some buttons to adjust up/down tilt, also left right. So that it’s in the correct position for your eyes. What you see is a reflexion. It’s not an actual screen.

I tried but still nothing. When it‘s on I am supposed to see at least some light coming from the dashboard, no? I mean the headup display „hole“. Nothing goes on there.

You may get some ideas from this post on the C6 forum: https://c6owners.org/plugins/forum/foru ... .php?10134

At a minimum you should have a speed indication.
If you've tried the brightness knob and up/down buttons to get it in your field of view, it would suggest the unit is dead.

Not common but also not unknown but... to change it you need to strip most of the interior to remove the dashboard. Not an easy task but again not to difficult if you are patient and methodical. Most of the removal instruction are on the C6owners site.

Hello guys,

I have good news, i did not know about the fact that you can activate it only with the engine off on the first position of the key. It is working now. Shows the speed but when i try and change to Navi, it shows many directions at once, blinks and goes back to speed. Any ideas ? If i have some different questions about the car, should i make another topic or continue here? Thanks a lot for your advice. Nice Community here.

You can continue the discussion here, or you can open a new topic in the Blogs and Galleries section, if you prefer to have a longer term history of your adventures with your C6.

Personal preference, but I find new topics specific to each problem catch the attention better to a specific thing, rather than a continuing thread of various things - and help for people in future looking on the forum when trying to trace down a similar problem.

I agree with that. I usually ignore blogs and the like.
