I wonder if anyone can help please. Not a lot of point contacting the dealer as every time I do with an issue they go to Google.
Purchased my car in mid January 2024 with one mile on the clock (it had stood in the showroom since delivery) From the get go I had an issue with the Infotainment system and the Electronic Dashboard had to be changed.
About a week or so ago the electronic Tailgate wouldn't open. It would unlock but not open and sounded two beeps (same as when something blocks it). With this issue the car seemed to drop all settings and return to Factory Settings. Left the car overnight and it seemed to sort itself out (Tailgate issue). However I noticed that the Heads Up Display was very dim but it did come back. Just been out in the car and the Heads up Display is now slowly fluctuating between dim and normal. As a point the car has only just done 3,100 miles. Not related but because of excessive road noise tyres were changed at 800 miles.

Re: Citroen C5X November 2022
My advice is get it back!
These new models are fraught with issues concerning the infotainment system which is heavily integrated into the other systems. Your vehicle is under warranty, so you really should get it back to them and tell them you want it sorted. We've recently had another member with a locked tailgate - only his locked open, so he couldn't shut it!

Thanks, will be going back to the Dealership but they haven’t got a clue, just hoping someone may have a steer on the problem.

These are relatively new and not many members here have one, but I'm aware of some of these issues - the other with updating the Head units - which can also leave equipment non-functional.

Don't muck about phoning them, they will give you every excuse under the sun. Just turn up at their showroom preferbially towards the end of their day and demand action after all they will want to get home on time

Thanks Steve. Was trying to be nice but like your idea of going in late in the day.

Did you have what I have factory fitted? the Goodyear Efficientgrip performance, And what did you change them to? I'm wondering if I might need to do the same and change mine.
I don't get why they fitted these tyres anyway, has anyone else got them? The Efficientgrip perfomance 2 came out in June 2020.

Re: Citroen C5X November 2022
I bought my C5 X from a dealership in Tewkesbury, 250 miles from my Northumberland home, because it was the only reasonably priced Shine + that wasn't Hybrid that I could find. Six weeks later I am having issues with the radio skipping, cutting out and fading. All of these are intermittent. I took the car to my local Citroen dealer and asked if they would look at these issues under the 12 months Spoticar warranty. They told me that as they hadn't sold me the car, I would have to take it to Tewkesbury for repair. I explained that the warranty was from Spoticar and they reluctantly agreed to look at it. Now comes the catch - they would have to run a diagnostic check on it first, at a cost of £126. Now I know that an intermittent fault is not going to show up on a diagnostic check so they want me to pay £126 for nothing. The other issue I have is the fuse for the power outlet in the boot, but that isn't covered by the warranty!

Fault codes are recorded in the memory so even if the fault is not present the code will remain until cleared manually.

Re: Citroen C5X November 2022
If the C5X is a 2023 car then surely it is covered by Citroen's own 3 year warranty?

Did you take your car to Allingtons in Ashington? If so that's where I've just put a deposit down for a C5x! As above, my understanding was as long as the service history is as per the manufacturer requirements then any PSA authorised dealer / garage can undertake work if it's still within warrantyverycleverman wrote: 28 Jul 2025, 00:38 I bought my C5 X from a dealership in Tewkesbury, 250 miles from my Northumberland home, because it was the only reasonably priced Shine + that wasn't Hybrid that I could find. Re: Citroen C5X November 2022
I had an issue with the boot the other day, opened a bit, stopped, and then 2 beeped.
I found if I fully opened it and then pressed the 2 press button inside the car it closed.
