Hi. I have a Peugeot 5008 (2010, 2.0 Diesel) which had a fault with the parking brake. I bought a replacement used motor from Ebay and had it fitted. Once it was fitted, the car wouldn't start.
The garage could connect to it etc and suggested I need to find a motor with matching part numbers.
When the old motor is plugged back in, the car starts fine.
Are the part numbers matched enough? Or would I need to find an exact match?
Or is it a case of somehow being able to code this motor to the car?
Any help much appreciated.
Some pics of the motors attached.

I think you may be able to tell the car the motor's code but I'm not sure and you will need Diagbox to do it, hopefully a better informed member will advise.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Maybe the replacement one is faulty with it probably being a used part having a 2013 date on it.
