It would presumably lock the lever in 2nd? :)

Good shout.

Although I have never partaken in a spot of TWOC-ing, nor actually sat in a 205, I'd have thought you could still get a fair way and a fair bit of fun with second gear available! :rofl2:

Looks like a typical government project Mike, cost £29,000 to fix up on sale for £12,000. :)

Oh that it lovely, and a towbar too for trips with the trailer to the tip! :-D

The other 304, that nice blue Coupe went for £7500 it seems, doesn't seem a lot of money

No reason why you couldn't load the 304 and tow it with your tow car is there? Could be mistaken for a 4 wheel farm trailer!! :-D

There's quite a few nice cars in that WB & Sons auction https://auctions.wbandsons.com/auction/ ... ion/?au=24

I'd be quite happy with either the 1969 Sunbeam Rapier Fastback or the 1991 Mercedes-Benz 420SEL :)

Although it might not quite qualify for this thread, (my gamble is that it will) this is the rarer 309 GTi which I found to have just that bit more room in the back than my 205 and consequently a more practicle way of having a fun car!! :-D
