Apparently passenger air bag warning. I wonder if this has anything to do with the recall.

Is that a reminder that the passenger airbag has been switched off Steve? A facility to protect rearward facing child seats which can be fitted in the front seat?

I rather think it may be but they don't put the child seat in the front passenger seat, always in the back.

Yes but the switch to turn the bag on and off is a manual one. I think it'll be behind the glovebox door and needs the ignition key.

If leaving it turned off and you are carrying a passenger and are unfortunately in a crash, then you might be liable if the air bag may have saved them.
