Mirascripts to change VIN

This unit is the eMyWay system, also referred to as RT6, RNEG2, or WIPNAV+ for the Peugeot platform and made by Magneti Marelli.

Mirascripts to change VIN

Hi all,
Finally got my RT6 sorted with new 2.80 firmware, maps, and risk alerts. Now I've managed to use Mirascripts to change the default language from Czech to English, and odometer from KM to miles. I see in the Data Explorer menu tree 1.4.65 for Supervisor Data there is a field for VIN. I have tried and failed to edit this field hoping I can get rid of the annoying beep every second due to this radio being from a different vehicle. Is this field meant to be edit-able? Or read-only and it can only be updated via Diagbox or dealer? Cheers

Yes it can be changed. I have used Diagbox for this in the past. I don't know whether Mirascripts is supposed to be able to do this or not. I'm wondering whether the RT6 has become locked as a result of updating the firmware and in that case if Diagbox doesn't work either then it might need a trip to the dealers so that they can log in to the servers in France.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Thanks Paul. Was hoping I could get away with Mirscripts and avoid a trip to the dealer. :wink:
