Having made up and fitted a front sensor wiring loom following the wiring diagram in the Peugeot Service Box my diagnostic is listing all six sensors and their respective positions but indicates a ‘short to positive’ which I usually take to be an open circuit.
The connection of the new front sensor array has also created a fault condition which affects the rear parking sensors which have ceased to work whilst the front array are connected. Needless to say, there is an obvious wiring error!
The particular sensors used for all except the two outermost positions are (9677782980) and although I have checked vendors, Googled and used GROK3 for information on the sensor pin outs I am getting differing views of what the pin out actually is: The three pin out connections used are 1. Ground, 2. Signal & 3. VCC.
The PIN numbers are embossed at the inserting end of the connector.
I would be most grateful if anyone in the Forum can tell me what the correct pin connection is for this sensor and, if possible, what the working voltage is please, because I understand it can be 5 volts or 12 volts depending on the system.

A long time ago I recall reading something that cheap lexias can adversly affect the parking sensor system but have no details. Does anyone know anything about this ?

Further to my 26 June post and problems with connecting a set of front sensors which is ongoing, I was finding that the parking sensor controller, located under the boot trim and above the left wheel arch, threw up a parking sensor fault on the dash when selecting reverse gear, which disabled the rear sensors. I couldn’t be sure the front loom connection had been made correctly as to date I still can’t access the correct pin-out data for the sensors.
However, I have procured a complete second hand 3008 front loom to which I fitted four new sensors. When this was connected to the 10 pin connector under the front left wheel arch, perplexingly, the results were the same but in order to restore rear sensor operation it was necessary to fit another parking sensor controller. The problem with this, although the rear sensor function is restored, the detection range is out of calibration so what used to be about a 12 inch gap at which sensors would sound it is now 4 feet. I attempted to remedy this using the parking sensor menu on my diagnostic kit (a SnapOn Ultra) but after the procedure a parking sensor fault showed on the dash as soon as I selected reverse gear. So in conclusion it seems that the parking sensor controller is adversely sensitive to both connecting an additional front sensor circuit to it but also to re calibrating an existing one which otherwise works correctly.
This raises two questions which I am hoping someone on the forum can help with: the first being, is there something in the procedure for calibration I have missed out? And second, as I now have three parking sensor controllers which have failed to work as a result of the interventions previously given, can they be restored, such as resetting a memory, in any way?
