RT6 to NAC (Connected NAV) Upgrade

This is the Connected NAV system.
Main Features: It is a fully integrated Telematics System featuring CarPlay, Android Auto, Real Time Services, Voice Commands, High-Res Display, 3D Navigation, Bluetooth Hands Free & USB. 2 versions of the system are available NAC (Navigation Audio Connectée) and RCC (Radio Couleur Connectée) or Connected Colour Radio, which does not have the Integrated Navigation or Live Services.

@Para25: I probably wasn't clear - all I was saying is that the connected services require an eligible vehicle (from the VIN). The NAC unit determines if a valid subscription is active or not via data from the telematics unit over the PSA network.

I've only ever had original equipment, so can't comment on these retro-fits, but normally the Head units are VIN coded to the BSI. The BSI on later vehicles is secured, so required a valid account / server access to configure with Diagbox. ^ Mac ^ knows more about these retro-fits as he's done it.

Generally the process is:
  • Buy car with NAC, connected services which were free for 3 years (later 2024 vehicle packages have different terms / offers)
  • Dealer completes paperwork to authorise connected services for owner
  • Owner creates their My Citroen / Peugeot / DS account and enters vehicle details and VIN
  • Wait up to 2 weeks for system to become activated
  • Activation is done and vehicle picks up authorisation OTA (over the air).
  • Connected Services renewal option is offered towards expiration of free period.
  • Failure to renew results in service being withdrawn
Maps are free for life.

Personally - I never found Connected Services useful! A total waste of time and money in my own case - maybe as I live in a rural area, but:

Radar and Speed Camera locations never picked up a single one
Fuel stations prices were totally out of date
Even the Road speed signs for the maps were out of date (especially with the 20 MPH zones in Wales) that took nearly a year for them to update.

So I never renewed and instead, I now use Sygic via CarPlay - the 20 MPH zones were there within a week or 2, Speed limits beep all the time if exceeding the limit. Danger zones for radar traps work and so do fixed cameras. A much better system and I only pay £14.99 for the year for the Premium version. A no brainer, especially as map updates are very regular and much better.

Thanks again Marc, you explained it well!
I was just confirming the false information I'd got hold of.

I successfully installed NAC wave4 for my Peugeot 508 2012 Hybrid4. Seller code my VIN, but do anyone know if there is a way to show hybrid functions on NAC? My previous rneg shows schemat how power is deliver from combustion or electric engine, when battery is charging etc. Here I cannot see such option.

Sure. The seller should have coded that part for you.
Still can be done, but you need Arduino tool and VLud’s program (freeware)…

I prepared Arduino with CAN interface and connected it using VLud's program to my car but so far no luck. I tried to enable 2 functions. First is hybrid power transfer, second is reverse camera. I'm afraid I failed because this is NAC wave 4 and it's for newer cars. It was never installed in Peugeot 508 MK1. Maybe I should try with wave 2 or 3.

Did you made it with NAC 2? These days I found a 508 RXH HYBRID4 2013, I don’t know if it would be SEMG or RCC originally installed. And I have a NAC2, don’t know if it would work in 508 RXH Hybrid 4

My previous message was sent a few days ago, NAC 2 just arrived yesterday, I didn't try yet. I need a few days to test it. Anyway NAC 4 is working good but there are no hybrid functions. All others works good with 508 2012.

Hi From Greece. Need Your Help. I am performing the NAC upgrade to my 2014 DS5 Hybrid.
I have Already ordered the Following.
1) Touch LCD display: 9813041280 (arrived)
2) NAC wave2: 9820469280 (Coded to my car VIN) (ordered but not Yet Arrived)
3) Fascia: 98102714ZD (Arrived)
4) Center Console Pocket: 9671084277 (arrived)
5) Digital Cluster (DS7): 9829010080 (with a 3d Printed DS5 Cover) (Ordered but Not Yet Arrived)
6) And all the required AliExpress adapter Harnesses. (Arrived)

Can you Plz Someone Explain the differences between the NAC Wave2: 9821908880 (analog); 9821908980 (DAB+) compared to the one i have order (9820469280) (except the dual lvds)

Seems you already know what you’ve asked for:
9821908880 is basic, analog NAC Wave2
9821908980 is the same but with DAB+
9820469280 is the best option; DAB+ and dual LVDS. Possibly with a little more RAM due to handling two screens (touchscreen and Cirocco)…

Thx for the reply.
One More Question. The Nac i have Purchase is from a 3008. But my car is Citroen DS5. Will this mean that all the logos will appear on screen as a Peugeot?

Yes. You’ll need to upload Configuration file for DS5 via Arduino tool.
Best ask there: https://vlud.net/nac-telecodage.html

Hi. I have installed everything (regarding the Nac2) and everything works perfect. I need your help guys about the Cirocco Digital Cluster (DS7): 9829010080... The seller hasn't provided me with the cluster milage. I am trying to read the milage though the Arduino based on the Canhacker. On the DS7 cluster schematic the CanH is on Pin9 and the CanL on Pin7. Using a 12 volt charger (Pin1 Can+ and Pin8 GrounD) the cluster fire up with no issues. All the graphics appear on Screen. The hardware is an Arduino Uno with a Mpc2515 Canbus Shield v2.0. and the ".ino" settings modified to the values to CS_PIN_CAN0 to 9 (instead of 10) and the 16mhz. The uploading of CanHacker.ino was successful with no issues. But on connection with CanHacker ap (Com3, 112500, and 125) although it connects successfully i get no readings from the cluster.
I understand is strange problem here, but any help will be more than useful.
