Fuel in line retaining clip gone. Unable to remove fuel pipe from filter.

Unread post by Tomtom1118 »

Hey all,

I was looking to replace my fuel filter on my ds3 1.6 HDI. I am unable to get the fuel in pipe off as the clip has just disappeared and now it's stuck on there.

Do anyone know how to possibly get it off and where to buy a new clip?

Really annoying as I also want to get to the throttle body to the side but can't undo that retaining ring until I move the fuel hose.

Thanks 👍

Most of the clips you just press on them so the pipe will come off. In this case you might be able to use a screwdriver down each side of the slot and press down as if they were the clip.

You could use a spanner on the jubilee clip, usually 7 mm if that is what you want to undo and the fuel hose is in the way.

I've found that steel workers snips are good for those pinch together connections

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.
