Presumably that warehouse is not full of replacement C3 airbags? :)

It's an interesting report on Stellantis building a place they can store parts for their cars. But, I can't see the point. Most repairs now days involve just remove and replace, and as the price of replacement parts is sky rocketing, less people will buy the parts anyway.
And will they stock parts for a cars outside it's warranty, doubt it.
Let's hope I'm wrong and it makes a difference. 🤞🤞

Sorry to be all negative here like a moany old man - I'm neither, I'm just sadly reflective on the reality of what has happened to our beloved car manufacturer - but this will make no difference to improve parts supply or customer service, this is just them further centralising to reduce their costs (to an area of the country where land/labour etc. is less expensive).

Stellantis and You dealers don't stock any parts now and you can't even order a part in one - it's service only, you have to ring one of their parts distribution hubs to order a part on the phone. And for any repair or service, the dealer just orders in a pre-defined 'kit' of parts for the job. That change completely gutted the dealers ability to actually serve all customer needs, or to deal with things quickly. But it's reduced their costs through lower overheads (stock on hand and reduced staff) and that's the only thing Stellantis care about.

Since Stellantis are quite happy to discontinue parts while models are still in production, this new warehouse also won't make any difference to parts supply - if it was NFP yesterday, it will still be NFP today.
