Aircon still on when car is turned off? Whirring noise underneath steering column?

Hi All, noticed recently that my aircon system still blowing cold air when C4 Grand Picasso is turned off. Also, I'm hearing some whirring noise underneath the steering column every time car is turned off. Would appreciate any assistance/ views please? Thanks.

Check your handbook.
As far as I remember ,on our C4 there's a button which when pressed runs the a/c on for a bit to keep passengers cool while driver 'pops out'.

Late update but hopefully this may help other members. After months of whirring noises after shutting off the car, my heater blower packed up which is not great during autumn/ winter due to condensation build up. I bought a replacement fan resistor and voila! Problem solved and no more whirring noise underneath the steering column.
