First chrysalis I have seen in years. I found one like this when I was about 12, took it home and it hatched the next day and a remarkably beautiful moth emerged, mostly red and blue.

He was quick in the race proper Paul

In the photo he was just ambling up to the start line and exchanging banter with me!

Used to see loads of that exact one when I was a boy Steve. Like you, I've not seen any in ages... I'm sure someone will soon identify what model it is
