2019 dispatch. 2.0l. exhaust / DPF pressure sensor error?

Unread post by TCOBTim »

having a mare of a time with my dispatch.

ERROR 'blocked dpf'.
check codes with topdon.... 'live data'.... diff pressure sensor like 120 BAR idle... 800 BAR under load.... MMMM.....

have taken DPF off and cleaned.

cleared codes etc...

DIFF pressure exactly same....

is the DIFF sensor shot? not sure...

WHERE is the diff pressure sensor?

figure will have to get under the van and use my manometer too test diff pressures manually.

opinions and idles appreciated.

thanks

From what I have read, if the dpf has been replaced or cleaned you need to tell the car via a diagnostic or it will continue to say the dpf is blocked, even though it is not. To find the sensor you can follow the pipes to it back from the dpf. On our C5 the sensor was located at the back of the engine on the bulkhead.

The pressure you have will be mbar, if bar that is far too high and the pressure would break everything involved.

Thanks

I'm confident that it's either a pressure sensor issue or a utterly shagged dpf

However.

My top-don has/did update/parts fitted... New dpf and "Ash content" was low.

I'm sure ash content which relates to rate of blockage... It calculated via the differential pressure.

I'm going to get under it tomorrow and use manometer to do a diff pressure test.

well. i have done a manual manormeter test at idle.... DPF is as blocked as it was before i removed it.

so... its either been poorly cleaned... OR.... absolultey shagged....

either way.... i would 'assume' that during its clean... it would of at least given some indication that its shagged ?
