407 rear brake question

Just changing the pads on the rear of my 407 and have a question. The BOL's say to press the piston back in with a C clamp but looking at the set up with the cable and piston it looks like it needs to be wound in. I remember with the BX front they needed winding in for the handbake to be reset.
I've tried with some glandnut pliers and although the piston is turning it's not retracting so needs some pressure on it at the same time.
Advice most welcome.

If the handbrake is integrated into the caliper, and isn't an electric motor at the caliper type, then it should need screwing in. Some of them are LH tread on one side, but you usually find that means the piston screwing out if you turn RH thread way.
