Citroen Extended Warranty Claim
Can anyone help please - it looks like we need a new engine! Our 2019 spacetourer has 64000 on the clock and we have been told that a part broke off in the engine and has caused enormous damage to the engine. Our citroen extended warraty claim has been rejected by the assessor because even though we have the service stamps for while it was under warranty with citroen and we have our receipts from the subsequent services, they are saying this is not enough!!! We can not get receipts from the original services because the citroen dealership we bought from has gone out of business. When we took on the extended warranty we were not asked for these receipts anyway. What can we do? This has been ongoing since February because we couldn't get it booked in to a citroen garage until March, where it has been for nearly 7 weeks now. We need the car because we are a big family. We have been fobbed off at all different stages... being told "oh the assessor will go in the next couple of days" or "oh the assessor is just checking this" etc. The citroen garage and the warranty company are basically saying the other isn't providing details etc. We have just about had enough. Any ideas? Please

Re: Citroen Extended Warranty Claim
While I am sure that we all sympathise with your plight, we are not lawyers and even if we were would not be able to give legal advice here.
There have been a couple of similar reports made here. The posters contacted Citroen/Stellantis head office in the UK and I don't recall if or how they were resolved but there was certainly a distinct lack of interest from Citroen overall.
I would try that as a first move, give them the name of the original dealer, they may have records from them.
You might also enquire at the UK Motoring Ombudsman for further advice.
Sorry to be unable to help more.
