Hi
There's a lot going on there. If you have an engine fault light come on, then the first/best starting point is to get the fault codes read - that will give some direction to go on.
Do you have a fault code reader? If not, can you get access to one (or buy one)?

If you have an engine fault light on, it will have stored some fault codes.
Any generic code reader will be able to read codes and a slightly more advanced scanner (of any kind) will be able to read more than that.

For the manufacturer specific diagnostic software, DS uses the same equipment as Peugeot/Citroen (called Diagbox) but you don't need that to just read basic codes.

Sadly the skill level in dealers isn't what one might hope it would be - they're basically just service outfits these days, doing planned jobs in 'kit' form... But they do have the right diagnostic software at least, so hopefully they should be able to make some headway.
Might be worth asking them for a print out of what the diagnostic tool read by way of faults (you've paid for the diagnostic, so they should give you that - might have to ask up front though!) that way if they still can't get to the bottom of it, it gives us some direction on which to go and offer further advice.

Thanks I will definitely do that they were courteous when I phoned back I think they could tell by the tone of my voice I was not pleased 700 .00 and nothing fixed other than a non start issue and being told if I had asked them they would of said don't buy a ds5

Hi Citroen have told me the directional headlight fault needs a separate sensor to the rear so I don't know why they didn't do that tried to say that the fault came up after the first sensor was fitted that's not so it was on when I took it in the main fault they have discovered is the water pump/coolant which is making the jolting and rolling with it not engaging quickly enough these are over 300 and the sensor 200 he did say research online as it will take Citroen ages to get them in also are these needed to be fitted by Citroen he also said if you get off the market parts and they don't fit properly it's down to me with any faults HELP,

Interesting that they've found something now. Let's hope that's positive.

IMO it's not acceptable for them to say they can source an aftermarket part for you, but then take no responsibility if it doesn't fit - they either take responsibility for their work, or they don't! nb: servicebox (the official Stellantis i.e. DS parts system) provides them with the option to order aftermarket parts, not just OEM Stellantis ones, so they'd be buying it through the official network!

Maybe Citroen were suggesting the owner provides an aftermarket part for them to fit - if so I would not expect Citroen to be responsible for the part, only their labour. If the part is faulty then the owner would be responsible and need to pay for labour again. This can be a problem where people ask a garage to fit parts they will provide.

That’s possible, but I’d be truly staggered if a main dealer would even entertain it as an option to fit customer supplied parts, tbh.
