Miscellaneous Auctions and Sales

Unread post by mickthemaverick »

I do spend time following the auction world other than motoring and sometimes a sale comes up which I know will interest some members. I have found it difficult to decide where to post those in the past and so have resorted to 'fitting them in' where there might be a link. So I have decided the simple answer is to create this thread for all such sales. :-D

To get us started here is one for the photographic, scientific and/or astronomy fans:

Gosh Mick, there's some tasty stuff on offer there and for good prices too :D

The two Canon SLRs and the two Minolta SLRs could have been very tempting if I was not already over-run with Pentax SLRs ;)

Mind you, good job there was no Pentax stuff there... I may have found it hard to resist

Would you believe that lot with the two Canons looks very, very much like the set I had stolen in a break-in back in 2003. I had one with motor drive and one without and both Canon and vivitar lenses!! The bag on the left looks just like mine which in reality was pale blue!! I wonder?... :-D

You never know - it's not unknown for stolen stuff to resurface and find its owner many years later... I had it happen in a small way with a small amateur radio transceiver I had stolen...

Bid on it and find out ;)

At a start of £75 I'm not that curious!! I've sent a question describing something not clear in the picture! :-D

The AE1 these days, is one very desirable classic vintage camera :)

A varied collection of lots in this week's Machinery and Garden sale in Bedford, something for the gardeners, DIYers and mechanics not to mention the cycling brigade. I am happy to collect anything that fits in my car for anyone if that helps!! :-D
