DS5 stereo/sat nav playing up

Unread post by Buz »

Hello
I’m looking for some advice in diagnosing and fixing an audio/telematics issue please if possible.
About 3 weeks ago the sat nav started playing up with a strange diagonal band appearing across it. Soon after the stereo would not come on straight away when you start the car , the procedure was , after about 15 seconds the reverse camera would flash up and go off ( even if driving forward ) then about 5 seconds later the stereo would come on but no details on the screen. You can still operate the stereo but nothing on the screen. Also the reverse camera doesn’t work and every now and then if you parked near something to activate the parking sensor and then turned the car off , it would still beep for about 5 minutes and then turn off. On Friday I hooked the car up to Diagbox and had the following faults

B10FB13 integral controls steering wheel upper left
U1F1A87 fault transmission top of the column on the LIN
B153107 navigator audio telematics button fault

So I cleared these faults , tried the car and still the same . Connected Diagbox and the faults have not reappeared.
So I performed a BSI reset ( exactly to the procedure ) but still the same. The only difference now being that it comes up with Radio off now on the right hand segment of the dash and now I have no dialogue with the audio/telematics ecu , and the screen just displays the Citroen logo . Stereo comes on now after about a minute and the reverse camera does not display. Many thanks in advance for any help

VIN no. For reference is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Hi. Had a similar problem once . Sd card fault. You have to dig out the unit and replace card and upload a new software

Or try to replace head unit for android

The guide is here - but beware that he is upgrading to version 2.80. Using the last version (2.86) can cause configuration issues on some systems, depending on what your current firmware version is. This may leave your system inoperable - so just giving you the heads up.

Morning. So another RT6 has been saved. I managed to purchase the cd from the main dealer. Installed a new 8gb sd card and installed the firmware. It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete which felt like a lifetime. I think I have been lucky as I couldn’t get any settings off using mirascripts . Everything works as it should except I have no Sat Nav. Do I have to re install the maps . I have looked in the settings and number of maps is 0. Thank you for all your help in saving the stereo.

Yes, the maps are stored on the SD card. Give me a few minutes and I'll send you a PM about where to get them from.
