C5X time display

Unread post by Star _Rover »

Perhaps it's me being obtuse but my C5X clock has not reset itself to BST, which would be nice, and I am unable to find a way to make it do so. Ant assistance would be gratefully received.

You'll need to switch Daylight saving option on - but just be aware that any changes you make to the system are NOT instant! You need to come out of the settings back to the home screen for a minute to see if they have updated and keep the engine running to ensure that the GPS is active.

This can save you making multiple changes and thinking nothing is changing because it doesn't update instantly. I've just had to switch my daylight saving option back on this morning as it hadn't gone forward.

Let me know if you are still not having any success and I'll let you know how my Aircross is setup

Thank you Marc but there is no daylight saving option available to me. I have the theoretical option of changing the time zone to GMT+1 but this does not change the time displayed on my infotainment screen. I'd be interested to hear how your aircross is set up.

This function does not work, the automatic time setting is when you cross time zones.
As the car was designed and built in China, and as China does not have daylight saving, it's very possible that it was never thought off when the system was being created.

My DS9 was built in China, but still I expect the system is very much the same. I have the analogue clock on the dash which opens/ closes with the ignition.

As Matt Watson from Carwow commented when he tested the DS9 "Do you like my erect clock?"

I changed mine a few wks ago, in the system there is a daylight saving time toggle which I switched. However like GMAB alludes to the changes are not instantaneous, in my case it updated the time about 5-10 mins later on the drive.
