What tool are you using? Can you get into the ABS ECU? What does that say?

icarsoft CR Pro+, I thought I could try live data but ABS option says unavailable. I wasn't sure if to start with abs rings or if issue is after wheel sensors if that makes any sense

Can you confirm if you can read any information from the ABS ECU?
Fault codes, ECU identification numbers etc. Sounds like its not. If it was just a sensor, pickup or wiring to the sensor fault you should still be able to connect to the ABS ECU & read live data etc.
I'd be looking at power supplies & earths to the ABS ECU first.
What are the other ongoing issues? They may be related or relevant.

That was my thought, wheeler - that in fact the ABS module is off line for one reason or another. That appears to be a decent diag tool so should be able to talk to the ABS ECU.

Great help fellas, will look into abs ECU, is access via frt LH wheel behind cover or under bonnet, might be a weekend job as off to work now, also got brakes discs and caliper to sort on my own Mondeo, Berlingo is wife's. Other issues all seem to relate to fuel pressure and EGR, has leak at one of the high pressure fuel pipe to injector and an oil leak to locate. Car was to replace a car we scrapped due to bent rear axle (VW Touran) which in turn was to replace a stolen Transit Tourneo, wife much prefers Berlingo to Touran so trying to work through issues.
