e-C4 replacing 12V battery

I have decided to replace the 12V battery, as it always shows a low standing voltage, and takes most of a Sunday to charge on the Optimate. (It is 3 years old, and I suspect it stood flat for months between the car being traded in at 2 years and me buying it at 2 1/2 years which will have killed it)

It is an 027 EFB battery, the one fitted is an Exide EL600.

I can get a new Exide EL600 easily enough as an exact replacement. (I can get a Yuasa 027 EFB with an extra 5Ah capacity too if it makes no difference)

Can I just change it- or do the flaky electronics need expensively programming to tell them the battery is new? I can't think of any reason apart from spite- the difference in internal resistance should only be microscopic, if I went from EFB to AGM the charge voltage is different, so something would have to be changed, but I'm going for an exact replacement.

Definitely go for the Yuasa, You dont get better car batteries in my opinion than Yuasa. The bigger the power output the better.

How did this turn out? I'm thinking about changing my service battery at some point in the near future, wondering do I need to worry about any configs/radio/etc reseting when unplugging the 12v?

As a general tip, when I change my 12V batteries I connect my jump pack across the battery positive lead at the fusebox and the earth of the engine. That keeps power on the aux stuff like radio etc to avoid retuning while you swap out the actual battery.
