Hi
Hopefully someone can help.
Renault Wind 1.2 tce
My radiator fan isn't kicking in when the engine is up to temperature
If I switch air con on it works fine.
I'm trying to locate both the engine temperature sensor, and the relay for the fan, to try and isolate the problem.(my suspicion is the sensor).
Temperature gauge reads as normal, but the engine does smell hot, when it's been on a run.
Can anyone help with the location of these 2 items ?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Re: Radiator Fan not kicking in
Hello. As far as know those little beauty were prone for overheating. I would check thermostat as a precaution. If you have clip device there is an option to check the fan (it might be 2 speed one). Some tablet device can do it as well.

Re: Radiator Fan not kicking in
Hey!The cooling fan in Renault Wind 1.2 TCE should work when the engine temp exceeds a certain threshold. The temp sensor is usually on the head or block.Check the electrical connections and the fan relay; it might be faulty. If the temp gauge is normal but the engine smells hot, there might be an issue with the sensor or cooling system.
