Hello, i have a 2016 DS5 hybrid 4 which give a fault code of POA35 (drive motor b over temperature) this only happens when the car is hot and driving at speeds lower than 50mph, it will illuminate the engine management light and service light and then slow the gear change down. once the car has cooled down again the fault clears, the car drives normally again until it gets hot and then the fault re-occurs - i had a diagnostic done by a DS dealer and they advised the battery management unit had a relay failure - this has been replaced but fault still occurs - my thought was the electric coolant pump but i can feel it buzzing when the car is running. can anyone offer advice please as it is becoming a tad frustrating
thanks in advance

Re: DS5 Hybrid POA35
If you add your vin it helps admin look up the code against your car and saves them asking for the vin.

Re: DS5 Hybrid POA35
Vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] I also forgot to mention that the engine cooling fan comes on full blast when the fault occurs which is making me think there is a problem with the hybrid cooling cirquit. i understand there is a specific way to bleed this system? i cam only find a bleed nipple on the reverse alternator and this is flowing sporadically with engine running

Re: DS5 Hybrid POA35
Fixed it!! limited information out there on DS5 hybrid cooling system however Peugeot 508 uses the exact same hybrid system which there is much more info on the net, found the cooling system procedure (mainly for the hybrid cirquit) i carried out a full cooling system drain and flushed the complete system with water using a cooling system pressure tester. then i topped up with G12+ coolant (5ltrs concentrated) filled remaining capacity with water. fitted coolant pressure tester and build up pressure to 10psi opened up the bleed screw on the coolant pipe that is directly underneath the brake fluid reservoir and run fluid til water changed to coolant colour (pink) topped up expansion bottle as required keeping pressure at 10psi, jacked up the rear of the car and opened up the bleed screw on the rear axle electric motor (run til fluid changed to pink) repeated with bleed screw on the reverse alternator and finally on the hybrid inverter in the boot. run engine til hot and fan cuts in - allow to cool and check/top up coolant to correct level - erased all fault codes and drove car keeping fingers crossed ( FIXED) Who needs dealerships -
