Stellantis extends voluntary contribution policy on Urea Tank (AdBlue) Cases for Citroën, DS, Opel and Peugeot brand vehicles
The satisfaction of our customers is among Stellantis’ key priorities.
Stellantis is extending special coverage for certain vehicles with Euro 6 diesel engines and SCR technology experiencing issues with their urea tank.
This complex issue has always been monitored and investigated, according to Stellantis standard policies and improvements have been done at plant for newer vehicles.
This voluntary coverage offers benefits beyond warranty requirements for vehicles manufactured between January 2014 and August 2020, up to 210,000 kilometres.
For vehicles under 5 years old and up to 150,000 kilometres, Stellantis covers 100% of costs for parts.
For vehicles 5 to 8 years old, Stellantis covers 30% to 90% of costs for parts, depending on mileage.
Stellantis also supports labour costs with €30 per case.
These conditions are valid until August 2028.
To benefit from this policy, customers who already had repairs done at authorized dealers from 2021 and received previous coverages (sometimes less comprehensive that the current ones described above) can apply for additional compensation, on top of what was already provided, through https://stellantis-support.com.
For new cases, the special coverage applies automatically at authorized dealers.

Stellantis Urea Tank (Adblue) Compensation Scheme
As we seem to be having a lot of Adblue tanks issues, I am posting this statement from Stellantis concerning eligible vehicles and conditions for various levels of compensation should the tank fail:
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Re: Stellantis Urea Tank (Adblue) Compensation Scheme
These tanks are probably failing due to Adblue corrosion or crystals, maybee a claim against Adblue manufacturers is the way to go
Thanx to all the admins & knowledgeable people that make this the best forum on the interweb. BUT COME BACK MARC , We miss you!

Re: Stellantis Urea Tank (Adblue) Compensation Scheme
Update
I wrote to Citroen complaining that the do not drive instruction in the original letter was hidden in the qr code and link.( the second letter had it on the face to see before reading)
I explained I was limited in my abilitys, and no bus service meant I had little choice but to continue driving.
They came back saying they would cover £22 inc vat per day for transport until car is repaired, however the additional conditions made it somewhat untenable to say yes, a hire company offered me a Toyota Aygo for £433.71 for about 15 days and I had to make all the arrangments, pay for it then claim back, I politely told them not under the figures and conditions stated.
Any one else had a similar offer?

Re: Stellantis Urea Tank (Adblue) Compensation Scheme
I have a 2016 Peugeot Partner that now has to go in for a diagnosis. Full service and MOT with a local mechanic last week hasn’t resolved the issue and on a countdown again. I’m preparing to challenge them for compensation as my car is 9 years old and just under 40k milage. I purchased in September 2021 from a Robins and Day dealership. I just wondered if anyone can tell me when they (Robins & Day/ Stellanis) first knew of this issue. I paid £13k for a 2016 plate when prices were high post covid and I’m really peeved about having to fork out for this.
Will a replacement tank fix this for good?
I use my van for camping and have loved it, till now!
I also had an engine fault message in the early days and this was due to the fuel tank. If I fill up when I re-fuel then this doesn’t recur.

Re: Stellantis Urea Tank (Adblue) Compensation Scheme
Have you had diagnostics carried out to determine the exact problem? It's not necessarily the tank and may be easily fixed if the problem is, for example, the urea injector.
There's a long thread on how to fix most AdBlue problems. I'll dig it out and post it here shortly.
EDIT: This thread will tell you all you will ever need to fix the issue: viewtopic.php?t=81429
First step is to have proper Diagbox diagnostics carried out by a person who understands the AdBlue system and what the diagnostics is telling them.

Jim, is this injector aka the 'reductant' injector by any chance. My car has just popped up and error, see my earlier post.

Re: Stellantis Urea Tank (Adblue) Compensation Scheme
Absolutely no guarantee of that, Stellantis are still having the same issues with current models.
Not sure what you mean by 'redundant' injector? The urea injector is the the injector that is fitted into the exhaust that sprays atomised adblue into the exhaust.superloopy wrote: 04 Sep 2025, 06:47 Jim, is this injector aka the 'reductant' injector by any chance. Mike, I've given a more substantive reply in your other thread...superloopy wrote: 04 Sep 2025, 06:47 Jim, is this injector aka the 'reductant' injector by any chance. My car has just popped up and error, see my earlier post.
This rather quaint term, 'reductant' does appear to refer to the urea injector going by some quick and dirty Internet sleuthing...
Logical, as it injects the fluid necessary for a Selective Catalytic Reduction...

Re: Stellantis Urea Tank (Adblue) Compensation Scheme
Yes, frustrating! I'm 2016 plate, however, Citroen C3 Picasso. 9 years and at 40k mileage. They say it isn't covered, but cannot give me an answer as to why the recall is on models 2014-2020, but the compensation beyond the 5YIS, extends to cars at 5>8 years only. That seems like a fairly large percentage nulled for compensation. I've asked to esculate, if not for just clearer guidelines. It says to me that the issue is clearly a manufacturing fault at 40k, regardless of year. Do let me know how you get on!kaerenm wrote: 14 Jul 2025, 06:46 I have a 2016 Peugeot Partner that now has to go in for a diagnosis. Re: Stellantis Urea Tank (Adblue) Compensation Scheme
outoutwest_, you have not said what is wrong with your car but if the adblue is on a countdown which filling up does not fix and you have not yet done anything, then it is worth a try putting in the Wynn's crystal clear. Costs about £10 and it seems to have helped some others. If you have done something to try to fix it then please give any info you can.
