Do you know if the timing chain kit with OE number 1697054780 which includes the valve cover, cam shafts, chain and tensioner fits for a 2019 Citroën C5 Aircross with DV5RC engine?

No such part listed for the vehicle, VIN ending 845. Nothing also returned across all vehicles.

Can you check 1638159880 I think they changed the OE number for the kit...

I'm planning on buying this timing chain kit, but I was not sure if it fits. Looking at the table below the price it looks like the engine code is correct.

Why not do a parts number request using your VIN on this linked topic and then you can search using the Citroen part number but you might need to update your donation.

Your first part number is on this list from when Citroen replaced mine. A bit strange there is no timing belt on the list, or is it included in the first part number kit

When I search for this number: 1697054780 on the internet I find that it is a timing chain cover kit, which includes the cover, cams and tensioner. Just wanted to make sure it fits before I order.

What year is your car from?

Is there a repair manual for changing the timing chain to the upgraded 8mm chain?

No, it's a dealer specific job that has specific components that need to be changed depending on damage done. The parts required are therefore dependent upon the findings of the investigation and will be listed in the dealership technical bulletin.

I asked my dealer if they changed timing belt at same time as it had to be removed. The answer was no because it wasn't due on distance or age...
I would have paid for a new belt to be fitted if I had known..
I asked how much to chang it when required and they estimated 850 euros... I think I will be doing it

Ahh okay. I was to do the timing chain replacement as a measure to avoid having the inferior 7mm chain break on me. It is running fine now but I can hear that it has started to make some noise.

Weird that the timing belt kit and water pump were not changed when it was all disassembled...

Remember - it's not just a matter of swapping the chain! Other parts will have to be replaced.

Yes of course. Camshaft carrier, chain, tensioner and camshafts. It is sold as a kit.

I also have the belt problem now, and haven't heard of the dealership.

What belt problem?

Do you have the 1.5 Hdi (diesel), 1.2 Puretech (petrol) or something else? The 1.5 Hdi has the chain problem and the 1.2 Puretech has the belt problem. This thread is about the 1.5 Hdi.
