Curious as to everyone's thoughts on coming across water ingress in an electronics connector plug. Is there a best practice for drying out and cleaning. What products?
I'd have thought WD-40 was common?

Re: Drying out wet ECU connectors?
Corrosion is the killer....sadly if it has started there is little that will solve it long term as the coating on the pins normally get destroyed.
The seriousness increases with the size of the connector, ECU plugs, main body connectors etc are/can be a big problem long term, smaller lighting plugs etc are best replaced.
Contact Cleaner spray followed by one of the connector water-proofing spray waxes ............ I would NOT ever use WD40
