Service intervals for C4GP

Unread post by aberantgi »

Hi there

Please could some kind person let me have the service intervals for the C4GP I purchased on Saturday? VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Thank you very much. If you could confirm whether I should be able to connect to the car via the MyCitroen app and update software etc that would also be great. Thanks!

What year and which engine does your car have ? Most Citroens should have a service at least every year depending on miles done including an oil/filter change using the correct oil to the relevant PSA spec.

It's every 16k Miles or Yearly - whichever comes first for this vehicle.

Thanks both for the reply - very much appreciated. I didn't get an email as I had expected so I shall check my settings. Would it be possible to find out the intervals for the various items please e.g. fuel, air filter etc?

I do not know what year or engine your car is but in recent years Citroen would give a single sheet of paper with the service schedule on it to the original owner. If you have the paperwork that came with the car it might still be there. It also includes the oil spec but these change depending on problems the cars have so it would be worth asking your dealer service people for a printout of the latest service schedule for your car.

Typically though
- oil and filter change once a year or a mileage if sooner (from above 16k miles). Use the latest oil spec.
- cabin filter once a year depending on the car
- air filter maybe every 4 years or a mileage
- brake and clutch fluid change every 2 years
- timing belt change depends on the engine - petrol Puretech ones can be a low mileage with annual checks, hdi ones can be 10 years
- auxiliary belt change at 6 years, its tensioner at 10 years
- anti freeze checks at 4 years for pH check and then every 2 years with replacement when needed
- fuel filter - petrol ones tend not to have them, diesel ones maybe every 4 years or about 40k miles if sooner
- spark plugs - not sure but might be 4 years or a mileage
