EOLYS "Check of the additive pump flow" - anyone actually done it?

Unread post by shtu »

Ahh, the fun never stops.

The sharp-eyed will have spotted that I've refilled an emptier-than-empty EOLYS tank, managed to do the various resets, and even figured out the "new pipes" re-priming process runs for way longer than you might expect. However, hardly any fluid comes out. We're talking a very slow drip with the pump running.

Everything looks and sounds fine - no faults, the "audible" actuator test is fine, etc.

I'll have a bash at the weekend, but has anyone actually used the "Check of the additive pump flow" test? Does it actually spit-out 20ml of EOLYS as promised?

As a sidebar, has anyone ever tried flushing-out the pump module? I'm clinging to a vague hope that it's just blocked, as otherwise all seems well, so I see a tin of brake cleaner in it's future.

Ahh, back again to round this one off.

I tried the additive pump test, and despite giving every indication of the pmp working - comms worked, audible and actuator tests set the pump ticking away merrily - no fluid came out. Diagbox states that 20ml should be delivered in the test duration, which is a few minutes.

Had a poke about with the tank, dismantled, flushed the pump with brake clean, etc., and still got nothing, so ordered a used tank off eBay.

Filled and tested the "new" one, and indeed you do get approx. 20ml out from the test. It's a very slow pump, so best to use a catch container underneath it and be patient.

I also took the opportunity to check the small line up to the fuel tank wasn't blocked.

Dear

I see the same problem too.
On DiagBox there is the option to test the quantity dispensed by the pump, but in those few seconds that it is activated, 20ml absolutely do not come out.
There are no errors but I don't understand if the system works correctly.
Also tested small pipe and it is free.
the best solution would be to see what's happening inside the diesel tank but we can't get there.
How did you solve it?
Thanks
