I just cannot get my head around this Husky... There must be something we're all missing here.

Can you determine the failure mode of the master cylinder and is it the same for all that have failed? Knowing how it's failed may help us establish why perhaps...

Or your in gear , getting ready to either pull up at the lights or other place you need to stop , push pedal down to go down gear , pedal wont come back up , car stuck in gear, turn off engine , pull car out of gear, then no pedal so cant use gear stick as no clutch.

The wife has stepped up shes got a much more exsensive one in order £85 with a smalk discount was over 100, its got a 5 yr warrenty & if it fails either replacment or refund will happen, i still reckon ALL these below £30 ones are fake ? Maybe, i thought the brake booster might be naff , but nope it works as it should , when this more exspensive bit turns up , were see what happens. Ive put a new slave on the gear box , only to find out the one i took off was ok , but the new one can stay.

Oh Just remembed, the day before this i pushed the clutch pedal down to be greeted with a loud snap, clonk , sort of spring sound . Also yesterday i unplugged the master off the clutch pedal & worked the plunger by hand i felt it had an inch of pressure then , it goes , so doing that then gave me the answer , master gone again.
Anyone reading this for the first time , sorry abiut my spelling my fingers are like bananas , but .. the clutch master cylinder is connected to the clutch pedal, the slave is on the front of the gear box, geavity bleeding does not always work as i have found out , 2 man is good & the vacum method too.

Ahh, so are all the failing ones cheaper non-OEM then? eBay specials? That might well point to a potential quality issue.

Have you had any of them apart to try and see what's failing in them?

No worries about banana fingers - I only get by with much use of a spell-checker ;)

Then top of the shop with warrenty & so on,
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175568886382 ... edia=EMAIL

Which has changed listing e.g. Price & disount stuff , it now just shows £73.99 , with no other mention of price reductions

As for service part , dont think you can repair them looking at one i photographed not long after i got the car it looks to me as if they could do with a better type of seal , no wonder why air gets in.

Hmmm. LUK should be OK, an OEM and their clutches always used to be fine - I've fitted a few... They seem to be too cheap though and the possibility of them bring fakes at this price point can't be discounted... It seems so much stuff is these days...

Febi should be good and the price is nearer what what I'd expect... And having a warranty suggests it's of known provenance and quality...

I must say, for a master cylinder, they do look a bit flimsy...
