I bought a Grand Picasso at the weekend. It was too good to refuse although it has the EML on. It's got a good service history so I am hoping it's something easy and cheap to fix. I took out the EGR valve today and decided to buy a new one. It's a bit of a pain to get out so might as well replace it.
Bought a cheap code reader too so things should become clearer as soon as it's delivered and I get it plugged in.

Welcome and good luck, but be aware, 'cheap' code readers may not always give the correct answer, you will be better equipped if you can get a Diagbox/Lexia.

Cheers Stu. I have read a little about Diagbox/Lexia but couldn't really get my head around what they are (cables, software, adapters?). On a Galaxy I used to have, I plugged in an ELM327 bluetooth adapter and read everything with Forscan, a quite brilliant tool. I also read that the ELM327 adapter won't work with Citröens.

Seems like Diagbox is the updated version of Lexia for models after 2008 but I see people selling Lexia 3 as a cable/interface
. I suppose it runs on Win10/11 so now I only need to find a reputable supplier of a reliable cable. Does Diagbox have to run in a VM? If I don't have a Peugeot then I suppose I don't need to care about PP2000. Is Diagbox a better option than using/buying EasyDiagnostics?
