Hello All!
Could really do with some help here!
So…. I have a 2017 Relay 2.0 HDI. Over time I noticed it started using more and more water with no apparent leaks. Recently i noticed a tiny bit of milky oil when I removed the oil cap (this only happened once) so from there I decided to do a head gasket test where you place the tube onto the coolant reservoir and watch if it changes colour. Almost instantly it went from blue to yellow.
For me this was confirmation of head gasket but have recently come across people saying this can also be down too EGR Cooler?
What’s your guys thoughts on this?
Also the van won’t start now, it just turns over and over then sometimes (very rare after long cranks it will fire up but struggle too rev etc)
Any help would be appreciated!

leaky egr cooler is a frequent problem on those engines. you say over time so may have done some damage in the interim Plenty of discussion on the Boxer Relay FB group if you need more
