Hello, we have a Citroen Spacetourer 2017 1.6HDCI and as of late we've had no end of problems and we're not sure where to start.
Any advice would be really really appreciated.
To list the problems briefly, Adblue failure, engine management light, former electrical fault, ignition faults, battery faults and more.
The story starts a few months ago, we would be driving the car and have a warning flash on the onboard computer saying "Warning: Electrical Fault" but there were no symptoms. The car functioned entirely as expected.
Eventually this fault just ceased to appear. Then one morning, we went out to start the car and it didn't.... You press the electric start button and nothing happens. (No fault warning) The computer doesn't come up, no lights turn on etc. Kept driving, eventually it started. We'd had the battery replaced when we bought the car, several months before but we've had the current battery tested and it's supposedly fine (mins this was always after a drive).
This issue seemed the vanish for a while so we hoped for the best.
Then the real kicker came, the Adblue.... We had an Adblue warning light appear, an engine warning light and then the car said it would shut down in 1000 and some kilometres.
So we bought a Topdon800BT which has been a life saver. At this point the car was entirely functional, the Topdon diagnosed the fault as "https://www.troublecodes.net/p2codes/p20e8/P2OE8 - Reductant Pressure to Low" basically the pressure in the Ablue tank is at 4bar or less and therefore it can't spray the adblue and the tanks broke. (We can however disable the countdown and keep driving!)
Now at this point the options didn't seem great, we're in Ireland and while they don't currently test for Nox on the NCT (Irish MOT) you aren't allowed to alter emissions systems and theres nothing saying tests won't come in future. So getting in coded out might not be a good idea and a new tank is €2,000 so..... Yeah.....
However it gets worse! Then the starting issue came back and it's getting worse by the day, note it's getting colder but this doesn't seem to directly map to temperature. You press the button, nothing happens. So far, eventually every time it has started in the end. We've disabled the stop start to reduce any drain on the battery if it's that but the battery is allegedly okay....
How the car keeps coming up with Fog light warnings yet our Fog lights are working....
I've also since noticed, when the car won't start, once it does there's a fraction of a second where it flashes up an error on the computer about the battery (I can just about see an icon of a battery) but it closes its self before it can be read.
I'm wondering if there could be a general electrical fault that's contributing to all these partially related problems. We've just ordered a start stop battery charger to see if this helps.
I don't have a current code read to hand but I can get one tomorrow.
This is amongst fixable issues we've had like a power steering leak and whatever else.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Citroen Space tourer 2017 Adblue and Electrical Faults
Welcome along.
The electrical fault it well known, and is the Battery protection unit at fault. Citroen call this BPGA. It's not too hard to change, but it is rather expensive....
If the AdBlue pump is still running, it might be that the pressure sensor is faulty - see this thread https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/ ... p?p=822092

Re: Citroen Space tourer 2017 Adblue and Electrical Faults
Thank you very much for your reply this is really helpful and mostly good news.....
Do we have reports of the BPGA causing all of the above faults including the start stop error? Do you know if the issue will continue to deteriorate?
Is this the correct part? https://www.neobrothers.co.uk/car-parts ... 9675350280
If so that's brilliant news because it's a long way off from the original 2K....
As for the adblue sensor actually it's funny so we forced the TOPDON to pump the adblue and we could hear it pumping. If it is this sensor that would be amazing. Thanks for all the help.

Also, don't forget to check for blockages! If the Adblue injector is blocked due to crystallisation, then it will prevent the Adblue from getting through and the sensor will detect higher NOx. So it doesn't cost anything apart from time to check the injector before replacing sensors. I recommend you keep your Adblue topped up every 3-6 months and ensure you use an Adblue anti-crystallising additive like Wynn's top keep the system in good order.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Thank you for all the responses. Yes, I'll try check the injector tomorrow actually.
If anyone is interested I've attached our code read. There's a few.
