Hi, I have the issue in my 2016 508 1.6 Diesel where intermittently, I get ABS, ESP, Anti Rollback and parking brake alarms coming on. When I switch off the car for a little while, the faults are gone. I had some other intermittent faults with doors and "Electrical Fault service car" or something similar. I bought the car last October and this happened through the winter/spring but then it fine through the summer but on our first very wet day for a while it started again which makes me wonder is it sensitive to cold/dampness? Anyway I got Diagbox 9.68 up and running a month ago and had cleared as many faults as I could and all was well until issues started again last week. Put on Diagbox on got the following. Hopefully it points you to something. Let me know if there is anything else you need.

Re: 508 ABS/ESP Anti-Rollback Parking brake alarms
You've got major faults there in the electrical / data networks - and too many for me to assist with sorry.
All the parking feature faults will be related to the ESP system - anything wrong with this will affect all related systems that depend on wheels speed sensors. All the major systems are interlinked, so faults in one system can cause knock-on issues down the line to other features, but I suspect looking at the number of electrical / network faults you may have a bad fusebox, supplies protection & management unit fault or the BSI. The BSI is pretty robust and protected being inside the vehicle, so I would start looking at the battery connections, the fuses boxers and protection units first- checking for water ingress, signs of corrosion etc.

Are all those faults from a reading after you've cleared the temporary faults?

Re: 508 ABS/ESP Anti-Rollback Parking brake alarms
Thanks for replies. Yes Paul I believe I had pretty much everything cleared except maybe the B1606 fault and P242F-00. Everything seemed to be working over the summer i'e park assist and even eco mode started working for a while. Then the usual ABS/ESP alarms came on when my wife was driving. I believe she stopped at a shop and manually put the parking brake on cause it doesn't come on after faults. When she came out she couldn't release the handbrake. She would have stopped and started and locked the car a few times to try to reset it. Eventually it released. After this episode I checked the faults with Diagbox.
Also there doesn't appear to be any corrosion on battery and I checked voltages and all seemed ok. Checked all fuses around battery that I could see and all seem fine. I also replaced the Battery Charge Status Control unit on the battery negative terminal but that was a waste of money.
Update: I just cleared the faults that I could but the following remain: Could it be the BPGA unit or the accelerometer (ABS & ESP errors above)?
BATTERY CHARGE STATUS CONTROL UNIT
B1606 STATUS PRESENT
ECU
U1105-87
U1213-81
U1205-87 Permanent
P242F-00
and under Built in systems interface
U1F00-00
B1606-81
The following are codes I hadn't cleared but have now.
VOLTAGE MAINTAINING DEVICE
P1B73
B1004
U1F2E

Hi again, Just wondering if you saw anything which might point to the problem?

Re: 508 ABS/ESP Anti-Rollback Parking brake alarms
Hi again, just to say I replaced the clutch in my car including the flywheel and since then all but one code remains - P242F. I maintain that as all the ECU cables etc were disconnected when disconnecting the battery to get access to the engine mount, it resolved some loose connection or corroded connection. It might be a simple fix for someone with similar issues.
